So this is a post I’ve been requested to do for a while now. For a long time I struggled with making my Instagram feed look aesthically pleasing and over the past few weeks, I’ve been teaching myself how to make that happen. We all want our pages & Insta feeds to somewhat look perfect but it’s not the easiest task when you’re not a ‘blogger’ or ‘influencer’ or anyone that’s got a brand or business. So this one is aimed specifically for everyone and anyone that’s looking at giving their feed a little boost.
FIRST THINGS FIRST // The most important thing to take note of when you’re planning your posts is to have a certain theme in mind. What does your brand or business do? What audience do you cater to? Do you have a specific goal in mind or are you just a creative insta’genius who wants to show off their creativity through their posts? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.
- The PREVIEW APP – This my friends, is literally MY BEST FRIEND. I cannot possibly now post without the use of this god sent app. It’s available for free on the App Store and will honestly make your life a million times easier when you’re planning your posts. It basically works as your Insta-mood board and allows you to see how your feed will look before you actually post a picture. So yes, make this your BFF, and you’re good to go.
- VSCO CAM – An OG photo editing app which I’m sure a lot of you already know of or use, but this app gives you that ‘editorial’ effect in every way possible. Whether you’re a fashionista, food brand, coffee house, lifestyle brand or whatever it is, this is an APP you have to have on your phone.
- SNAPSEED – Another app I’ve been using for years which really makes my life easy when I’m taking scenery or food pictures. The clarity that the effect on this app has is amazing.
So there it is, my 3 best friends who’ve really helped me make my gram look a whole lot better, but still, there’s always room for improvement and it’s fun experimenting on your own. So get creative and I hope this helps in making your life easier too 🙂
